This weekend we went on what was probably our most technical hike here in Hawaii. The Olomana trail is located on the windward side in Kailua. It's a formation all it's own and not part of the massive Koolau range. It's a series of three peaks with some near vertical sections to it.
Needless to say, we didn't do the whole hike. We came to a point before the first peak that was one of the "near vertical" sections and Caitlin made the judgement call that she would be unable to scale the section. So I went on without her to the top of the first peak real quick to scope out the views. It was a spectacular view.

As you can see, Caitlin was not very happy with me for taking her on this hike. I am very proud of her for making it as far as she did.

That small piece of land on the bottom right was basically all there was for the trail along the ridge at the top.
