Busy Weekend
We had a great weekend.
Friday night we went to town (Honolulu) to pier 1 to look at couches, but struck out. we didn't want to cook after that so we went and got some good mexican in Kailua, came home and crashed, we were pretty tired.
saturday, we went out with our new friends Britni, Brad and Heather to Maunawili Falls. It was a great hike with a nice waterfall and swimming hole at the end. after that we went to Kailua Beach and threw the disc around and hung out. Got some good Italian after that with Brit and Brad. Another night of crashing after that.
sunday we went shopping at our favorite outlets in Waikele. got a decent amount of stuff, cait got some new hiking shoes because her other ones were making her slip all over the place on saturday.

Pirates of the Hawaiian Islands
Another weekend in paradise. Perfect weather, as usual.
Mustache Jack and Judy Dench the Monkey Wench saw Pirates on Friday night. We love pirates.
Picked up our new dresser and outdoor furniture on Saturday. Pictures to follow, after we get some chair cushions!
We went for a little hike on Sunday. It was a bit dangerous at times, especially considering that we were hiking on a ridgeline! And the fact that Caitlin had no treads on her shoes! The hike is on the ridge above Lanikai, our favorite neighborhood and beach. It was pretty windy up there, thankfully though, since it felt like 100 in the sun! Nothing like a little hike with georgous views, followed by lounging on the beach with an ice cold beer. Aaaahh....

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot
Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you busted out the grill and beer and enjoyed the warm weather. us? we always have the grill going since it's our main cooking appliance.
We had good weekend full of outdoor activities in the Aloha state of Hawaii. I played some beach ultimate on saturday while cait sat on the sidelines getting a tan. sunday we went to Makapuu point and hiked to the top. i love that even though we are technically residents, there is so much to see that our weekends are always full of "sightseeing". the hike is quite easy since it's a paved road, but the views are spectacular. in the winter you can hike up and see the whales. we plan on doing that when the time comes. after hiking we went to Hanauma bay for some beach and snorkeling. not as good snorkeling as we have done, but i think part of it was that we started in the wrong area.
